In Re <br /> <br />Permit Knox & Stout <br /> <br />Electric Sign. <br /> <br />In Ae <br /> <br />Deed from J.E.Whttehead, <br /> <br />et al - ~treet purposes. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Street Superintendent <br /> <br />Recommendation prohibiting <br /> <br />heavy traffic. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Band Concerts. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bids . <br /> <br />City Garbage. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Protest <br /> <br />Bristol Widening. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Tubbs <br />and carried, the request ~f I~uox & Stout for per- <br />mission to hang an electric si~n in front of. their <br />place of business, East Fourth Street, was granted <br />under the ~ro~ r supervision.of the City Electrician <br /> <br />A deed from J. <br />30 ft. and the <br /> <br />E. V~hltehead, et al, for the ~o~th <br />East $0 ft. for street purposes, at <br />the Southwest corner of Fifth and Artesia Streets, <br />was accepted, on motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly <br />seconded by Tubbs and carried, and the Clerk in- <br />structed to have same recorded. <br /> <br />Street Superintendent Dahl filed recommendations in <br />reference to heavy traffic stating what streets <br />should be used for, etc., also recommending that an <br />ordinance be passed prGhibiting ~ea~-y traffic on <br />certalu streets. On motionof Trustee Dale, duly <br />seconded by Greenleaf and carried, same was accepted <br />and the City Attorney instructed to prepare an <br />ordinance governing this matter. <br /> <br />Mr. Harry Schillinger was before the Board in ref- <br />erence to band concerts for the ooy~Ing summer. On <br />motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly'seconded by Dale and <br />carried, the matter was referred to a Cormnittee - <br />Trustees Dale and Chapman being ~pointed as such <br />Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Chapman <br />and carried, the 'Clerk was instructed to o~en bids <br />received for the City garbage. Only one bid was re- <br />ceived: that from Dr. C. E. Price, who bid as follows: <br />$1.00 (one dollar) per ton for all the ~arbage <br />collected in the City. On 'motion of Trustee Green- <br />leaf, duly weconded by Chapman and carried, the bid <br />was taken under advisement. <br /> <br />A prot~st signed by a large number of property owner~ <br />between S~venteenth a~d Santiago Creek, protesttn~ <br />against the proposed widening of Bristol Street <br /> <br />between the above points was read, and on motion of <br />Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carr~ <br />sa~e was referred to the City Attorney and Special <br />Counsel and to report at next meeting of the Board, <br /> <br /> <br />
