C. Jerome, County Auditor,i <br />was read, in which the %ssessed valuation of the <br />City, exstusive of operative property, was given <br />as $12,282,678.00. On motion of T~etee Tubbs, <br />duly seconded by ChalmUan and carried, same was <br />accepted and placed on file. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 691, fixing Oity tax rate for the <br />year 1922-23 was given first reading. On motion <br />of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Chapman and <br />carried, same was referred to the City Attorney <br />the Board as a Committee of t~he whole. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee T~bbs, duly seconded by Green, <br />leaf and carried, the City Attorney was instrncte~ <br />to take immediate steps towar~ collection of mone~ <br />from Steele Finley for amount collected by him as <br />inspection fees in paving Orange Avenue. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Tubbs, seconded by Chapman <br />and carried by the following vote, Sanitary Inspee, <br />tot Chandler was allowed $25.00 per month for <br />auto rent. <br /> <br /> Ayes: T~ustees J.W.Tubbs,C.H. Chapman, H.H.Dale!. <br /> Noes: T~ustees W.A.Greenleaf, John G.Mitehell. <br /> Absent: Trnstees None. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee O~eenleaf, <br /> <br /> duly seconded by <br />Tubbs end carried, the bid of C. G. Wolfe for <br />furnishing tbs City with barley hay was accepted, <br /> <br />providing the. same proves to be <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Greenleaf, <br /> <br />first class. <br /> <br />duly seconded by <br /> <br />Tubbs and carried, Btreet Superintendent Dahlls <br />salary was increased from $180 to $200 per month, <br />effective June lat. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Dale, duly seconded by Chap- <br />man and carried, Fire Chief [~zaembou~ger's salary~ <br />was increased from $180 to $175 per month. <br /> <br />Chief of Police, Sam Jernigan, was, on motion of <br />Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Chapman and c~ie~ <br />granted a vacation of two weeks. <br /> <br />This being the time and place fixed for the open- <br />ing of bids or proposals for the work ordered done~ <br />and improvement ordered made upon and along a <br /> <br /> <br />
