Mr. Theal was before the Board requesting pern~n to place a banner endorsi~g the Wright Bill act-ass s street in the business district. Trustee Chap- man made a motion that request be granted; not receiving s second, the motion was lost. Mr. R. Earl Elliott was before t?e Board requestin that property line be established on Spurgeon Stre at Santa Clara Avenue. On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the City Engineer was instructed to survey property showing a straight street. Mr. Rutan was before the Board with reference to proposed ordinance establishing City zoning distri, On motion of T~ustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Dale and carried, a meeting of the Board was ordered fo~ Friday, 7:30 P. M. October 2~th, 1~22, to entertain and hear any proposals or protests relative to zoning districts. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Chap- man and carried, the protest of restaurant owners against the operation of lunch wagons on tbs street was denied. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, seconded by Chapman and carried, petition for ornamental lights on West Fourth Street was referred to the City On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Green- leaf and carried, the Knights of Columbus were granted permission to close ~bird Street at Garfield at night during carnival held under auspices of K. of C~ On motion of T~ustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Dale and carried, the Clerk wss instructed to can- cel Warrant No. 83~ made pay~able to F. P. Shumway and issue new warrant payable to Mrs. Belle Shdmway account death of Mr. Shumway. A motion by Trustee Greenleaf that electric pole at Ross & 1Vth Streets be removed, was duly seconds by ~bbs and carried.
