A petition w~s presented, s~gned by a number of property owners on West 18th Street for the improve- ment of that portion of said street lying between Broadway and Main Street with 5" concrete pavement with belt finish wearing surface, contract to be let and improvement made under private contract. On m~t- of Trustee Oreenleaf, duly seconded by Dale and ~arri@d, the petition was referred to the City Engi- near for checking. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Dale! and carried, a deed fzom George M. Ketscher and Ethel! 1' . Ketscher for street purposes north of Fourth St. ~; and East of Santa Fe Tracks, was accepted and the Clerk instructed to have the same recorded. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubb~ and carried, the monthly reports of the various City : officers was referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of and carried, and carried, the Broad's approval Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Green]ea~ the Clerk was instructed to issue warrants covering demands as audited by the ~'Inance Con~ni t t e e. On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Chalxnan Clerk was instructed to sign the to ~,!ap Tract No. 543. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Ohapman and carried, Fh~ed Mortensen was granted permission t~ conduct wrestling exhibitions under auspices of American Legion.. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Chapman and carried, E. G. Best was granted permission to locate small building at 806 West Fou~h Street for use as a real estate office. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Chapman:. and carried, the request of C. Sanchez for permisslc~ to sell tamales on the street, was denied.
