Day was granted a per- <br />mit to conduct an oil filling station and washing <br />rack at the corner of M~n and E1 Portal Streets, <br />construction of same to be under the supervises <br />of the Building Inspector and Fire Chief. <br /> <br />On motion of Tmetee Tubbs, dttly seconded by <br /> <br />Greenleaf and carried, the application of Martinez <br /> <br />and Jovaras to conduct a pool hall at 8~9 East <br />Washington Avenue was denied. <br /> <br />Trustee Tubbs reported the application of Cria. <br />Sorensen for a permit to conduct a pool and billiar~ <br />hall in the basement of Sam Hill's market, Fourth <br />and Broadway, had been withdrawn. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Green- <br />leaf and carried, Street ~uperintendent Da2~l was <br />instructed to post that portion of Orange Avenue <br />constructed of rock and oil~ Q~e~ which the hauling <br />of heavy loads ~prohibited. <br /> <br />The matter pertaining to the width of Bristol Street <br />from Fifth to ~antiago Creek was, on motion of <br />Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, <br />referred to the Board as a Comrmtttee of the whole, <br />report to be made Monday, March 2?th, 1922. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by <br />Tubbs and carried, the request of M~. Latimer for <br />a permit to construct sidewalk and cua~b on the Nest <br />side of Maple Avenue f~omHarwood Place to McFadden <br />Street, was referred~ to the Board as a Com~tttee of <br />the ~hole. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Green- <br />leaf and carried, the Cie rk was instructed to notify <br />the Pacific Electric Land Company that the Ordinance <br />granting them a franchise to operate a bus line in <br />this city, was ready for passage and ask them to <br /> <br /> <br />
