In Re Franchise Ordinance No. 6V8. On motion of Trustee Greenteaf, duly seconded by Dale and carried, Street Superintendent was in- structed to furnish ~r. Ed Moore the necessary dynamite for blowing up stumps that are in Wes~ Ninth Street between Bristol and Attests Streets~ On motion of Trustee Dale, duly seconded by Tubb$ and carried, the Bond of T. H. Fowler to do pri- vate contract cement sidewalk and curb work, was referred to the Chair for approval. A report from City Engineer Knox in rgfer.ence to sidewalks and curbs thot are being built in the new sub-divisions s~ated that a great amount of this work is very inferior. This also applies to conditions throughout the City. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Graenleaf and carried, the report was accepted and ordered placed on file for future reference, and the Cit~ &ttorney, Engineer and Street Superintendent in- structed to prepare an Ordinance governing speci- fications and inspectl, on for this class of work. A petition signed by a large number of property owners on Garnsey ~treet~, between Hickey and Tenth Streets, a~ing that the above portion of Garnsey Street be p~ved with 5 inch cement and belt finish, was presented. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the n~tter w~s referred to the City Engineer. "An Ordinance of the Cit~ of Santa Aha grant- ing to Pacific Electx~ic ~and Company, a cor- poration, a franchise to operate automobile busses on, along and over public streets of the city of Santa Aha, prescribing regulations and conditions governing the use of s~ch f.ranchise, regulating the payment of a per- centage of the gtc. ss annual receipts arising therefrom, and providing for the forfeiture thereof" was introduced at the meeting of the Board of Trustees on the sixth day of March, 1922. and ~ . submitted to City Attorney and pecial Counsel, came on for ~ nal consideration by the Board of Trustees. The ordinance was read, considered, and designated Ordinance No. 6~8. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf §~onded by Trustee Tubbs and carried, the roll was. called and the ordinance passed by the vote of .the fo]lowing named members of the Boar~ of Trustees: Ayes: Trustees J. W. Tubbs, C. H. Chapman, H. H. Dale, W. A. Greenleaf, J. G. Mitchell. Noes: Trustees None. Absent: Trustees None.
