In Re Petition to Pave Shelton Street. In Re Permit S. A. Furniture Co. In Re Bond of Prather & Nichols. In B~ Monthly Reports. In Re Demands. In Re Pump Bids. A petition signed by all of the ~roperty owners on Shelton Street between 5th and Sth Streets, asking that the above portion of street be improved by paving same with 5 inch Portland cement concrete and belt wearing surface, was read, and on motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Dale and carried, the re- quest was granted and City Engineer Knox instructed to prepare plans and specifications On motion of Trustee Dale, duly and carried, the request of the for same. seconded by Chapman Santa Ana Furniture Company for permission to hang an electric sign in front of their rlace of business, 409 East Fourth St.,~ was granted under the proper supervision of the Electric Inspector. The bond of Prather & Nichols for $500.00, to do pri- vate contract cement sidewalk and curbing work was, on motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Chap- man and carried, referred to the Chair and City Engi- neer for approval. On motion of and carri ed, officers was Trustee Greenleaf, duly. seconded by Dale the monthly reports of the various referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee ~hapman, duly seconded by Green- leaf and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants on the Trensurer as audited by the F~nance Committee. This being the time and place for opening of bids received for furnishing the City Water Department with a pump, the Board proceeded to examine bids filed therefor as follows: $1V44.00. one 5-2 stage Jackson Deep. Well Tu~bin Pu3np. $1594.00. ~rank J. Kimball Co.- Kimball Direct Flow Turbin Pump @ $1880.00. Layne & Bowler - one 18" type D. H.C. $2002.40. Johnston Pump Co. $14~0.00. On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by and carried, all bids were referred to the Board as a Committee of the whole.
