Furniture Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Bond of <br /> <br />Prather & Nichols. <br /> <br />In B~ <br /> <br />Monthly Reports. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Demands. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Pump Bids. <br /> <br />A petition signed by all of the ~roperty owners on <br />Shelton Street between 5th and Sth Streets, asking <br />that the above portion of street be improved by paving <br />same with 5 inch Portland cement concrete and belt <br />wearing surface, was read, and on motion of Trustee <br />Greenleaf, duly seconded by Dale and carried, the re- <br />quest was granted and City Engineer Knox instructed to <br /> <br />prepare plans and specifications <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dale, duly <br />and carried, the request of the <br /> <br />for same. <br /> <br />seconded by Chapman <br />Santa Ana Furniture <br /> <br />Company for permission to hang an electric sign in <br />front of their rlace of business, 409 East Fourth St.,~ <br />was granted under the proper supervision of the <br />Electric Inspector. <br /> <br />The bond of Prather & Nichols for $500.00, to do pri- <br />vate contract cement sidewalk and curbing work was, <br />on motion of Trustee Greenleaf duly seconded by Chap- <br />man and carried, referred to the Chair and City Engi- <br />neer for approval. <br /> <br />On motion of <br />and carri ed, <br />officers was <br /> <br />Trustee Greenleaf, duly. seconded by Dale <br />the monthly reports of the various <br />referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee ~hapman, duly seconded by Green- <br />leaf and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw <br />warrants on the Trensurer as audited by the F~nance <br />Committee. <br /> <br />This being the time and place for opening of bids <br />received for furnishing the City Water Department <br />with a pump, the Board proceeded to examine bids <br />filed therefor as follows: <br /> <br /> $1V44.00. one 5-2 stage <br /> Jackson Deep. Well Tu~bin Pu3np. $1594.00. <br /> <br /> ~rank J. Kimball Co.- Kimball Direct Flow Turbin <br /> Pump @ $1880.00. <br /> <br /> Layne & Bowler - one 18" type D. H.C. $2002.40. <br /> <br /> Johnston Pump Co. $14~0.00. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by <br /> <br /> and carried, all bids were referred to the Board as a <br /> Committee of the whole. <br /> <br /> <br />
