Whereas, the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, did on the 20th day of February, 1922, receive and file a written petition signed by quali- fied electors of said city more than one-tenth in number of the qualified electors of said municipal corForation computed upon the number of votes cast at the last general election held therein, asking that the boundaries of the City of Santa Ana be altered and new, ttuhabited territory annexed thereto, Incor- porated therein and containing the description of the said new and uninhabited territory asked to be inclu- ded in such corporation, and which territory is de-' scribed os follows, to-wit: All of the Northwest quarter (NW~) of Section Nineteen (19), Township Five (5) South, 'Range Nine (9) West, S.B.B. & M., lying West of the Pacific Electric Railway Company'S. forty-foot right-of-way, all in the County of Orange, State of California. And B~ere~s, without delay, to-wit, on the 21st day of February, 1922, the City of Santa %na notified the Board of Supervisors of Orange which the city of Santa Ana is of the filing of said petition; County, tbe county in located, of the fact and Whereas, the Board of Supervisors of O~ange County, on the 21st day of February, 1922, received such notification fixing a time and place for hearing objections to said annexation and caused notice to be published and the same was published for five days in the Santa Aha Daily Evenin~ Register, a newspaper printed, published and circulated in the County of Orange, State of California, on the 22nd, 2Zrd, 24th, 25th, and 2Vth of February, 1922, which notice set forth a general description of the lands sought to be annexed to the city of S~ta Ana and annottuced the time and place when and where objections to said annexations would be heard; and Whereas, at the time and place fixed and announce~ in said notice, the Board of Supervisors of Orange County proceeded to hear protestations; Where~s, no protestations, remonstrances or objections were Filed or made against or concerning the proposed annexation and said Board of Supervisors on the 28th day of February, 1922, duly passed and ado¥.ted its ~esolution consenting to the annexation of said new and unhabited territory to and by the Git~ of Santa Aha; and Whereas, said new and unhabited territory is cnn-. tiguous to the City of Santa Ana and forms no part of i
