On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, the Union 0il Company were granted per- mission to install two 550 gallon gasoline tanks and erect an electric sign at their place of business, 1st and Broadway, under the supervision of the Fire Chief and Electric Inspector. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, permission was granted property owners on Cubbon Street from Main to Orange Avenue, t o Construct the sidewalk adjoining the curb on the above portion of street. On motion of Trustee Chapman, duly seconded by Dale and carried, all bids received for furnishing the City Water Department a pump according to specifications as advertised, were rejected and the Clerk ~nstructed to return the certified checks which accompanied the same. On motion of Trustee q~bbs, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, the mag of the Owens 'A'ract, a subdivision on Na~n Street north of the bridge was referred to the City h~ngineer, Sewer Committee and Sewer Department. On motion of T~stee Chapman, duly seconded by DRle and carried, it was decided that special counsel be employee to help City Attorney Scott in defending the City against the suit of Mrs. Roberts. On motion of Trustee Dale, and carried, Trustee C. H. mission to leave the State duly seconded by Greenleaf Chapman was granted per- for a period of two weeks.
