On <br /> motion of Trustee ~bbs, duly seconded by C2mpman <br /> and carried, petition was referred back to the part' <br /> circulating same, to state kind of paving desired. <br /> <br /> A protest signed by members of the First Church of <br /> the Brethern of Santa Ana against the removal of <br /> church from its present location at 1st and Lacy <br /> Streets, wes presented; also a protest signed by <br /> residents in vicinity of Ross and Candle Streets <br /> against the erection of a church st that location. <br /> On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by Chapma~ <br /> and carried, protests were filed for future referenc <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> ornament a 1 <br /> A protest was presented against proposed/lighting <br /> <br /> system on ;.est Fourth Street. On mo~ion of Trustee <br /> Tubbs, duly seconded by Dale and carried protest <br /> wns referred to the City Engineer. <br /> <br /> A petition was ~resented signed by property owners <br /> on Washington Avenue asking that that portion of <br /> street lying between Broadway on the East and Lowell <br /> Street on the ~',est be imprbved with five inch concr~ <br /> with belt finish wearing surface. On motion of <br /> Trustee Dale, seconded by Chapman and carried, <br /> petition was referred to the Engineer for checking. <br /> <br />Protests were presented signed by E. P. and Lizzie <br />~. Stafford and H. L. Mickle against assessments <br />on Spurgeon Street sewer. On motion of Trustee <br />Chapman, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, protes' <br />were continued for one week. <br /> <br />'Ibis being the time and place noticed for the openir <br />of bids for sewerage screens, the Board proceeded tc <br />examine bids received. Only one bid was received- <br />that from Water Works Supply Company of Los Angeles <br />in total sum of $39,98V.00. On motion of Trustee <br />Chspman, duly secondZd by Tubbs and carried, same <br />was referred to the Joint Board to report at their <br />next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
