On motion of Trustee McPh, <br />seconded by Chapman and carried, the request was granted <br /> <br />A copy was presented of the resolutions adopted by the E <br />Santa Ara Improvement Association reference to the widen <br />of North Main Street and narrowing of sidewalks, which tl <br />oppose but are in favor of widening ~he street and settil <br />the buildings back. On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by <br />Chapman and carried, the copy of the resolutions was accepted <br />and ordered filed for future reference. <br /> <br />A communication from Vi. C. Baker entering protest against th~ <br />Pacific Electric Company standing its street cars in the con. <br />ter of 4th Street near the Sou. Pacific Depot,was read and on <br />motion of Trustee Collier, seconded by Chapman and carried, <br />same was referred to the Street Committee. <br /> <br />A conm~unication was presented from G.G. Latimer asking the <br />Board if reports were true with reference to a majority of <br />the members of the Board agreeing to insist upon the Installs <br />tion of a certain metal l~ghting standard in the business <br />district of Santa Ans.
