Jenken. <br /> <br />City Engineer and St. Supt. <br /> <br />that the Nembers had agreed to have uniform type in the busi- <br />ness district but in the residential district the property <br />owners were to have a voice in the type used. <br /> <br />On r~otion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Collier and carried, <br />the Clerk was instructed to sign the Board's approval to <br />Map Tract No. 81~, a subdivision within the three mile limit <br />of Santa Ann. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chapman and carried, <br />a copy of the motion made by the Planning Commission that the <br />widening of N. Main Street be recalled for further considera- <br />tion, was ordered filed for future reference. <br /> <br />Recommendations from the Park Commission were read relative <br />to the Bandstand being located in the Northwest corner of <br />Birch Park and approving plans submitted by Fay R. Spangler, <br />Architect. On motion of Trustee Collier, seconded by Chapman <br />and carried, action on recommendations was deferrSd for one <br />week. <br /> <br />A petition signed by the property owners and business houses <br />on E. First Street between Main and the City Limits, protest- <br />lng against the diversion of traffic from E. First Street to <br />E. Fourth Street, was read. The Board of Trustees favors the <br />route by way of Tustln, Main to Lyon Street, north on Lyon <br />to First Street and on motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by <br />Chapman and carried, the matter was referred to the City <br />Engineer with instructions to convene with the Board of Super- <br />visors re~arding same. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McPhee and carried, <br />the report of the Health Department for the month of December <br />was referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chapman, seconded by Goode and carried, <br />the Clerk was instructed to draw warrant in favor of Jos H. <br />~efford amount of $1605.00 in part payment for the drilling <br />of water well on Bristol Street. <br /> <br /> At this time in the proceedings, the resignation of Nat H. <br /> Neff, as Street Superintendent and City Engineer, was accep- <br /> ted with regrets, on motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by <br /> Chapman and carrie~, effective as of th, is. date. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Chapman and carried, <br /> Clyde L. Jerker was appointed City Engineer and Street Super- <br /> intendent of the City of Santa Ara, with the same salary as <br /> his predecessor, effective as of this date. Mr. Neff and <br /> <br />Mr. Jerker to co-ooerate with o-e another in their re~.ctive <br /> <br /> <br />
