Department of the <br />acknowledging request for an extension of time <br /> <br />within which to contract for Hoover Dam electrical ene~ <br />was accepted and placed on file, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the communication from the League of California <br />Municipalities,u~ging support of Senate Bills Nos. 82 <br /> <br />53 designed.to protect cities, counties and other public <br />corporations and their officials in damage suits for in- <br />Juries to persons or property resulting from defective <br />or dangerous condition of public streets, buildings or <br />works, was referred to the Attorney for investigation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, Trustee Goode and the Clerk were appointed as a <br />con~nittee to attend the 13th Annual Relay Championships <br />to be held at 1:00 P.M., March 7th, at Burcham Field, <br />Long Beach. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Sutton and car- <br />ried, the protest of E. P. Shelton against street assess. <br />ments on five lots icc ated on South Patton Street, was <br />referred to a committee to investigate. Trustees Goode, <br />Kelly and Sutton appointed as the committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelly, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the bond of the San~tora Company for Cement Sidewalk <br />and Curbing was referred to the Chair for approval or <br />disapproval. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kel~ly and car- <br />ried, the monthly reports for February of the City Offi- <br />cers, were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
