Janich. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Signs. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride and car- <br /> ried, the request of M. B. Wellington, President of the <br /> Orange County Council Boy Scouts of America, to furnish <br /> lights at their camping place, Santiago and Flower <br /> Streets, was referred to the City Engineer. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Goode and car- <br />ried, the communication from Hazel C. Northcross, Presi- <br />dent of the. Business and Professional Woman's Club, <br />relative to resolution adopted by the Club opposing the <br />movement on foot to take from women their po~itions, in <br />order to bestow them on men and urging the Council to <br />stand back of them, was accepted and filed for future <br />reference. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />A communication from J. E. Johnson was read offering to <br />sell Lot 7 Block 0 of McFadden Tract in Santa Aha fcv the <br /> <br />sum of $12OO.00. On motion c~ Trustee Goode, seconded b <br />appoint committee to <br />Sutton and carried, the Chair was authorized to/investi- <br /> <br />gate pure.base of lot for street purposes. Trustees Goode <br />McBride and Kelly were appointed as such committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by McBride an.d car- <br />ried, the application of Van D. Williams for the Job of <br />Janitor at the City Hall was filed for future reference <br />and the Clerk instructed to notify him that there is no <br />vacancy at present. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Goode, seconded by Kelly and car- <br />ried, the application of P. P. Janich for sixty days <br />extension of time on the improvement of Patton Street and <br />others, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Sutton, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the applications of the Sa~ ta Ana Electric Company <br />to hang electric signs for Harry's Garage at 315 ~W. Fifth <br />Street and Minnie Ketner at El6 W. FObtrth Street were <br />granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br /> <br />
