Eighth Street, was referred to the Mayor with power to ac' On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Witmer and car- tied, th~ proposal of Chas. A. Peddicord for permission to salvage the dump ~nd pay the City $35.00 per month was referred to Trustee HasenJaeger and City Engineer. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by McBride and carried, the application of the Southern Pacific Company to remove crossing gates at the Southern Pacific tracks on Fourth Street, was denied. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the application of John Otis Haley for p to circulate a petition for the paving of West Street between Flower and the City Limits with Du-Rite paving, was denied. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Witmer and carried, the property at the northwest corner of First and Parton was ordered posted to change the zone from Residential Zone to Neighborhood Business Zone aud the hearing date set March 21st, 1932, in accordance with the application of H. L. Maylen representing the Home Ice Company. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Witmer and carried, permission was granted the Inter-Denominational Churches to erect a gospel tent at the corner of Wilshire and Sycamore Streets providing residents and property owners in the vicinity do not object. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the Clerk was instructed to w~ite a letter to Dr. Edward Lee Russell extending a vote of thanks for his work in examining transients in connection with the Unemployment Bureau. ,, On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- ried, the reco~endation of the Planning Commission was accepted and the application of Thomas Moyahan to have property on South Main Street known as Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and the west 100 feet of Lot 35, rezoned to Light Industrial Zone, was denied. 6, 7, 8, Tract #15'
