L. Maylen to have the <br /> at the northwest corner of First and Patton Streets <br /> rezoned from Residential Zone to Neighborhood Business <br /> Zone, was referred to the Planning Commission for further <br /> recommendation. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Witmer and car- <br /> rind, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was <br /> accepted and the application of H. L. Maylen was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the request of Arthur K. Williams to be advised <br />what insurance Mr. C. H. Eckles carries on buses and taxi~ <br />operated to give free rides as advertised, was referred <br />to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Witmer and car- <br />ried, the request of H. E. Ludlu~ that the streets be <br />sprinkled in the vicinity of Main and Pomona Streets <br />during the time the circus ia in the City, was referred <br />to the City Engineer with power to act. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, the American Flag presented by the Spanish-American <br />War Veterans for the City Hall flag pole was accepted and <br />the Clerk instructed to write a letter of thanks. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Witmer, seconded by McBride and car- <br />ried, Mrs. J.R. Medlock, Owner, and George Dunton, Lessee <br />were granted permission to set back the curb at 808 N. <br />Main Street approximately ten feet according to sketch <br />submitted and the property owner to bear the ~xpense of <br />the set back. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the City ~ttorney was instructed to prepare an <br />ordinance for the reEulation and construction of awnings <br />over sidewalks In the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> <br />
