No. 2331 <br /> <br />Declaring Weeds <br /> <br />a Public Nuisance. <br /> <br />467 <br /> <br />A Resolution was introduced entitled as follows: <br /> <br /> "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana determining and declaring that weeds which bear seeds <br />of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth <br />as to become a fire menace when dry, and which are <br />and dangerous are growing upon certain streets, <br />and private property in said City of Santa Ana and are a <br />public nuisance; directing the Street Superintendent to <br />post notices to destroy said weeds asrequired by law; <br />fixing the time for hearing objections and protests, and <br />directing the abatement thereof in accordance with an Act <br />of the Legislature of the State of California entitled, <br />"An Act authorizing Municipalities to declare noxious or <br />dangerous weeds growing upon the streets or sidewalks or <br />upon private property within municipalities to be a pub- <br />lic nuisance, creating a lien upon the property fronting <br />upon such streets or sidewalks, or upon which such nui- <br />sance exists for the cost of abating the same, approved <br />May 26, 1915, and amendm~ents thereto." <br /> <br />The resolution was ordered filed, read, considered, <br /> <br />designated Resolution No. 2331 and passed by the follow- <br /> <br />ing vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees J. L. McBride, E.G. Warner, <br /> Paul B. Wltmer, A.C. HasenJaeger. <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees John Knox. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Rezoning N.W.Cor. <br /> <br />First & Patton Sts. <br /> <br />An Ordinance was introduced amending Zoning Ordinance No. <br /> <br />809 to change the zone at the northwest corner of First <br /> <br />Street and Patton Street from Single Family Residence <br /> <br />Zone to Neighborhood Business Zone.
