In Re Reso. No. 2331 Declaring Weeds a Public Nuisance. 467 A Resolution was introduced entitled as follows: "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana determining and declaring that weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, and which are and dangerous are growing upon certain streets, and private property in said City of Santa Ana and are a public nuisance; directing the Street Superintendent to post notices to destroy said weeds asrequired by law; fixing the time for hearing objections and protests, and directing the abatement thereof in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled, "An Act authorizing Municipalities to declare noxious or dangerous weeds growing upon the streets or sidewalks or upon private property within municipalities to be a pub- lic nuisance, creating a lien upon the property fronting upon such streets or sidewalks, or upon which such nui- sance exists for the cost of abating the same, approved May 26, 1915, and amendm~ents thereto." The resolution was ordered filed, read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2331 and passed by the follow- ing vote: Ayes, Trustees J. L. McBride, E.G. Warner, Paul B. Wltmer, A.C. HasenJaeger. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustees John Knox. In Re Ordinance Rezoning N.W.Cor. First & Patton Sts. An Ordinance was introduced amending Zoning Ordinance No. 809 to change the zone at the northwest corner of First Street and Patton Street from Single Family Residence Zone to Neighborhood Business Zone. The Ordinance was read, considered and referred back to the City Attorney. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Witmer and car- ried, the City Council adjourned to Monday, March 28th, 1932, at V:30 P.M., in the Council Chamber.
