Barba requesting <br />employment or that the City buy his property located in <br />Gloryetta. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by <br />Warner and carried, the Clerk was instructed to write to <br />Mr. Barba advising him that the City of Santa Ana has no <br />funds with which to buy his property and are very sorry <br />not to be able to help him out of his difficulties. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Witmer and car- <br />ried, the application of W. M.. Rice to enlarge his present <br />wrecking yard at 905 E. Second Street and erect a seven <br />foot board fence around the enlargement, was referred to <br />the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, the application of A. Asher for permission to <br />hold a dissolution auction sale of his stock of jewelry <br />at 210 W. Fourth Street during the middle of APril, was <br />grant ed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by McBride and <br />carried, the.application of Charles E. Nugent for permit <br />to erect ~ Lath House at 2410 N. Main Street to be used <br />for a Retail Nursery, was referred to the Planning Commis- <br />sion. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warne? and car- <br />ried, the m~o~nth~y report of the Health Department for the <br />month of FeBruary, was referred to the Finance Committee. <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Warner and car- <br />ried, the communication of the Spanish American ~ar Vet- <br />erans offering ~their services to the City c~ Santa Aha~ in <br />the~ event, of a calamity with which the authorities are <br />unable to cope with, was accepted and the Clerk instructs <br />to write a lette~ to them expressi~ng appreciation for <br />their public spirited manner in offering assistance. <br /> <br /> <br />
