E. Burton for a permit to con. <br />duct a Roller Skating Rink in the Dance Hall located on <br />South Main Street in Gloryetta, was granted on condition <br />that the Chief of Police have the power to place two <br />officers at the Rink if the necessity exists for proper <br />police control. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Witmer and <br />carried, the recommendation of the City Attorney was <br />accepted and the petition of the Veterans' Welfare Board <br />for the cancellation certain taxes appearing as a lien <br />against property owned by the Board, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, sec G~ded by Witmer and <br />carried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign an <br />agreement with John W. Tubbs covering the construction <br />of an electric sign at the northwest corner of Wamhington <br />and Main Streets, extending over the ten foot set-back <br />line established by ordinance on North Main Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign a <br />contract with Chas A. Peddicord covering the salvaging <br />of the dump when proper bond is filed for the payment of <br />$25.00 per month over a period of three years. <br /> <br />An~0rdinance was introduced governing the erection, con- <br />struction and repairing of awnings projecting over public <br />sidewalks within the.City Limits of the City of Santa Ana~ <br /> <br /> 0rdina~ce was read, considered and referred back to <br /> <br />The <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />An Ordinance .entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance amending 'Zoning .Ordinance No. 809 to <br />the Zone .on the. northwest corner of First and Patton <br />Street, fifty feet long and ninety feet in depth, being <br />part of 'Lot 4, Block 9, of the Ross Tract, from a <br />Zone to a Neighborhood Business Zone." <br /> <br />was finally read, considered, des'ignated Ordinance No. <br /> <br />955 and passed b~ the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees J.L.
