In Re Ordinance No. 955 Changing Zone--lst & Patton. In Re Ordinance No. 956 Water Service Charges. 469 On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Witmer and car- ried, the application of R. E. Burton for a permit to con. duct a Roller Skating Rink in the Dance Hall located on South Main Street in Gloryetta, was granted on condition that the Chief of Police have the power to place two officers at the Rink if the necessity exists for proper police control. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Witmer and carried, the recommendation of the City Attorney was accepted and the petition of the Veterans' Welfare Board for the cancellation certain taxes appearing as a lien against property owned by the Board, was granted. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, sec G~ded by Witmer and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign an agreement with John W. Tubbs covering the construction of an electric sign at the northwest corner of Wamhington and Main Streets, extending over the ten foot set-back line established by ordinance on North Main Street. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign a contract with Chas A. Peddicord covering the salvaging of the dump when proper bond is filed for the payment of $25.00 per month over a period of three years. An~0rdinance was introduced governing the erection, con- struction and repairing of awnings projecting over public sidewalks within the.City Limits of the City of Santa Ana~ 0rdina~ce was read, considered and referred back to The the City Attorney. An Ordinance .entitled: "An Ordinance amending 'Zoning .Ordinance No. 809 to the Zone .on the. northwest corner of First and Patton Street, fifty feet long and ninety feet in depth, being part of 'Lot 4, Block 9, of the Ross Tract, from a Zone to a Neighborhood Business Zone." was finally read, considered, des'ignated Ordinance No. 955 and passed b~ the following vote: Ayes, Trustees J.L. McBride, E.G. Warner, Paul B. Witmer, A.C. HasenJaeger, John Knox. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustees None. An Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana amending 0rdia- mnces No. 839 and 865, establishing water rates, and pre- scribing rules and regulations governing the consumption of water in said City."
