On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried~ the application of Chandler and Harding for a permit to dispose of furniture stock by public auction at 41V W. Fourth Street, was granted. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the application of Adolph H. Kneip for perEis- sion to conduct a commercial poultry yard at 609 Garfield Street, was denied on recommendation of the Inspector. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the application Laura Johnston for permission conduct a commercial poultry yard at 1719 Greenleaf Stree was granted. In Re Coupon Selling Firestone Stores Inc. On n~otion of Trustee Witmer, seconded by McBride and car- ried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to confer with Mr. Robert Speed, Secretary of the Unemploy- ment Buresu, relative to sanctioning ~he sale of coupons of the Firestone stores, Inc. and using the unemployed of the City for the private promotion of their products. A Resolution entitled: "A Resolution ordering the Street Superintendent to abate the public nuisance heretofore declared by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana to exist in the City of Santa Ana, to-wit: Weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry and which are noxious and growing upon certain streets, sidewalks and private pro- perty in the City of Santa Ana, b~ having the weeds referred to removed." was ordered filed, read, considered, designated Resolu- tion No. 2333 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees J.L.
