Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Noes, Trustees Paul B. Witmer. Absent, Trustees J.L. McBride. . On motion~of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the application of C. J. Alexander for a permit to erect a service station at the southeast corner of First and Bristol Streets, was referred to the Planning Commission for recon~n~ndation as no written or oral pro- tests had been filed. On recommendation of the Planning Cormmission and on motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried, the application of C. J. Alexander to erect a service station was granted. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and car- tie d~ the proposed ordinance to regulate the hours and time~ for the carrying on and conducting the business of Barbering in the City of Santa Ana, was taken under advisement. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the petition of the Veterans' Welfare Board for the cancellation of certain taxes appearing as a lien against, property owned by the Board, was granted on the recon~nendation of the City Attorney. ,, On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the demand of B. Uttley in amount of $1~,928.00 covering damages for personal injuries, etc.,received in an automobile at the intersection of Tenth and B~oad- way, was taken under advisement. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the Clerk was instructed to make a written demand on the County Board of Supervisors for the sum of $50,588.00 for repairs, maintenance and construction of streets in the City of Santa Ana. On motion of Trustee Warner, carried, the monthly reports seconded by Hasenjaeger and of City Officers for the month of June, were referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carrie d, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants on monthly demands audited by the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, action was continued for one week on the propos~
