Santa Ana City Hall. July 25th, 1932. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. Hasenjaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: T~ustees J.L. McBride. In Re Indian Play in S.A. Bowl. In Re Communication Newport Harbo~ Chamber ~Commerce. In Re Request of S.A. Theatre Guild. In Re Health Report. In Re Protest of A. J. Visel. In Re Bond--C.R. Stauffer. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the Chair was instructed to appoint a con~nittee to meet with Wm. H. Shirley with reference to using the Santa Ana Bowl for the production of an Indian Play. Trustees Hasenjaeger, Warner and Penn were appointed as the committee. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the con~nunication of the Newport Harbor Chamber of Conmmerce expressing its appreciation for Santa Ana~s participation in the Annual Tournament of Lights at Newport Beach was accepted and filed. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the application of the Santa Ana Theatre Guild for a permit to stage a parade on the streets to adver- tise"The Wet Parade", a stage presentation of the Guild, was referred to a committee with power to act. Trustees Warner, McBride and Hasenjaeger were appointed as the ccmmit t e e. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the report of the Health Department for. the month of June was referred to the Finance Cormmittee. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the protest of A. J. Visel, owner of a four family flat at the southwest corner of Third and Ross Streets, against the music and dancing at a late hou~ at the dance hall on the opposite corner, which disturbs his tenants, was referred to the Police Department. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the bond of C. R. Stauffer in amount of $2000.00 for Plumbing and Gas Fitting was referred to the Chair for approval or disapproval.
