On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried the Fire Chief and City Engineer were instructed to dis- pose of and remove the building of Mrs. J. S. Campbell at 915 W. Waknut Street,classed as a fire bazar% and pro- ceeds from the sale of,lumber to be sent to owner of property. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by LeGaye and carried, a fire drill bower to be used by the Fire Depart. ment was ordered constructed as a project under the C.W.A. on City property ~o be located on the south side of Walnut Street between Flower and Patton Streets. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaege~, seconded by Warner and carried, the County of Orange was granted permission to construct ten or twelve dog keEaels at the City Pound located on N. Bristol Street, st no expense to the City, and the Foreman of Parks and Poundmaster were authorized to plant shrubs and plants around the City Pound. . On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Hasen~aeger and carried, the Santa Fe Ratlwa~ Company were given permis- for two days sion to close the stree.t/on E. Fourth Street to repair their crossing,Work,to be performed under supervision of the City Engineer. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger,seconded by Warner and carried, the hearing was continued for one week on the application of the Santa Ana Co~nunity Players Associatto~ to erect a meeting hall on city property at Twentieth and Main Streets. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the City Engineer and Auditor were appointed as a committee to investigate maintenance costs of twenty acre parks in six or eight Southern California Cities and report to the Council.
