Athle'tic Club. <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />December 18th, 1933. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and <br />carried, the by-laws of the Orange County League of Muni- <br />cipalities were received and the Council decided to go on <br />record favoring the adoption of a system whereby each <br />~ity has five votes instead of one vote on league questio~ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the communications frcm the City of Ontario rele. <br />tive to the Citrus Belt League of Municipalities meeting <br />December 29th, and from the City of Signal Hill relative <br />to the Los Angeles County League of Municipalities meet- <br />lng December 21st, were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner snd <br />carried, the deed from J. William Sackman and Gertrude E. <br />Sackman, husband and wife, covering property on Olive <br />Street between Sixth and Eighth Streets to be used for <br />street purposes, was accepted and the Clerk instructed <br />to have deed recorded. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Hasenjaeger and <br />carried, the application of Richard Carl Brook for a <br />permit to drive a taxicab for the Courtesy Cab Company, <br />was referred to the Taxicab Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconde5 by Penn and carried. <br />the application of Richard Carl Brook was granted to <br />drive a taxicab for the Courtesy Cab Company. <br /> <br />Petitions in favor and protests against the operation of <br />an smat~ur boxing club at 308 E. ~ird Street, were read. <br />and heard. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by <br />Hasenjaeger and carried, the application of the Orange <br />County Athletic Club for permission to conduct an <br />boxing .and wrestling club at 308 E! T?~ird Street, was <br />denied after protest had been heard ag&inst the granting <br />of said permit at said location. <br /> <br /> <br />
