City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees None. Minutes of meetings of December 4th and llth were approved as read. In Re By-Laws of Or.Co. League of Municipalities. In Re Communications Cities of Ontario and Signal Hill. In Re Deed from J. Wm. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the by-laws of the Orange County League of Muni- cipalities were received and the Council decided to go on record favoring the adoption of a system whereby each ~ity has five votes instead of one vote on league questio~ On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the communications frcm the City of Ontario rele. tive to the Citrus Belt League of Municipalities meeting December 29th, and from the City of Signal Hill relative to the Los Angeles County League of Municipalities meet- lng December 21st, were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner snd carried, the deed from J. William Sackman and Gertrude E. Sackman, husband and wife, covering property on Olive Street between Sixth and Eighth Streets to be used for street purposes, was accepted and the Clerk instructed to have deed recorded. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the application of Richard Carl Brook for a permit to drive a taxicab for the Courtesy Cab Company, was referred to the Taxicab Commission. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconde5 by Penn and carried. the application of Richard Carl Brook was granted to drive a taxicab for the Courtesy Cab Company. Petitions in favor and protests against the operation of an smat~ur boxing club at 308 E. ~ird Street, were read. and heard. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Hasenjaeger and carried, the application of the Orange County Athletic Club for permission to conduct an boxing .and wrestling club at 308 E! T?~ird Street, was denied after protest had been heard ag&inst the granting of said permit at said location.
