Earl Ruddy, Secretary <br />of the League of California Muncipalities was received <br />and filed and the Clerk was instructed to advise Mr. Rudd <br />that the Council have endorsed Assembly Bill No. 1172 and <br />are opposed to the suggested compromise of one-fourth <br />cent of the gasoline tax money and will compromise only <br />as a last resort. Copy of letter was ordered sent to Mr. <br />Hotlim Thompson, City Manager at Berkeley. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee I/asenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the Notice of HearLug before the Railroad Com- <br />mission of the State of California in the Matter of the <br />Application of Southern California Telephone Company for <br />April BOth, 193~, at 10:00 A.M. in the C~urt Room of the <br />Co~nission in Los Angeles, was taken under advisement. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, sec mded by Penn and carried <br />'the communication from DeWitt Dudley, farmer City Enginee~ <br />relative to the settlement that has taken place in the <br />bleachers in the Municipal Bowl, was referred to the City <br />Engineer~ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the application of E. B. Trickey for permission <br />to erect an 8'x lB~ glass house for the purpose of sellin <br />flowers and plants at the northeast corner of First and <br />Wright Streets, was referred to the Planning Co~ission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Wa~ner and <br />carried, the application of T. M. Fardom for permission <br />to conduct a real estate office in his home at 151~ No. <br />Broadway, was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaege~, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the application of T. M. Pu~dom was denied on <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> <br />
