Chestnut Street and a protest signed by resi- <br />dents protesting against the erection of frame building <br />at said location, were read. On motion of Trustee <br />HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the petition <br />and protest were referred to the Planning Commission for <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried <br />the applications of Chas. W. Treve, Mrs. Charles Garden, <br />Margaret C. Walsh, S. J. Swanson and M. R. Clawson for <br />permission to sell beer and wine at their places of <br />business, were received and filed fQr future reference. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and ca~ <br /> <br />tied, the reports of the City Officers for the month of <br />March, were referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br /> carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants aceord- <br /> i~ to demands audited by the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried <br /> <br />Victor M. Walker, Manager of Walker's State Theatre, was <br /> <br />appointed a special police officer without pay. <br />. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, secc~ded by LeGaye and <br /> <br /> carried, the annual report for the year 1932 from the <br /> Orange County Health Department was referred to the <br /> <br />Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- <br /> ried, the recommendation of the Police Department was <br /> accepted and the application of Charles Burns for permis- <br /> sion to conduct a pool hall at 406 E. Fourth Street, was <br /> granted. <br /> <br />On motion of T~Astee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and car <br />ried, the bid of F.P. Nickey, Jr., for the concessions at <br />the City Bowl for the coming season, guaranteeing $100.00 <br />and 25% of the net profits, was. accepted and the Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
