In Re Application Charles Burns. In Re Concessions at City Bowl. Santa Ana protesting against the proposed ordinance pro- hibiting the distribution of handbills in the City, was received and filed. A petition signed by residents requesting the Planning Commission to~ reconsider and grant Pete Ceremony the liege to erect a frame building on lot adjoining propert~ at 1030 W. Chestnut Street and a protest signed by resi- dents protesting against the erection of frame building at said location, were read. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the petition and protest were referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried the applications of Chas. W. Treve, Mrs. Charles Garden, Margaret C. Walsh, S. J. Swanson and M. R. Clawson for permission to sell beer and wine at their places of business, were received and filed fQr future reference. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and ca~ tied, the reports of the City Officers for the month of March, were referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants aceord- i~ to demands audited by the Finance Committee. . On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried Victor M. Walker, Manager of Walker's State Theatre, was appointed a special police officer without pay. . On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, secc~ded by LeGaye and carried, the annual report for the year 1932 from the Orange County Health Department was referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- ried, the recommendation of the Police Department was accepted and the application of Charles Burns for permis- sion to conduct a pool hall at 406 E. Fourth Street, was granted. On motion of T~Astee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and car ried, the bid of F.P. Nickey, Jr., for the concessions at the City Bowl for the coming season, guaranteeing $100.00 and 25% of the net profits, was. accepted and the Clerk
