Santa Aha Cit~ Hall. <br /> <br />April 17th, 1933. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, <br />W.H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustees None. ~ <br /> <br />Minutes of meetings of April ~rd and 10th <br /> were approved as read. <br /> <br />In Re~ <br /> <br />Comm~muication <br /> <br />Citizen's Unemployment Assn. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Health Report. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Applications to <br /> <br />Sell Beer & Wine. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Sign. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Poultry Yard Application. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Agreement with <br /> <br />J. Wm. Sackman, etu~. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and <br />carried, the communication from the Citizen's Unem <br />~ergency Committee, stating its desire to change the man- <br />ner of conducting the work assigned to it and proposing <br />to turn over to the Unmmployed Association the entire <br />operation for unemployment relief in ~anta Aha, was <br />accepted and the Council expressed its sincere apprecia- <br />tion for the Ereat service rendered by the Committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and <br /> <br />carried, the Health Report for the months of January, <br />February and M~rch, 19~3, was referred to the Finance <br /> <br />Committee · <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, <br /> <br />seconded by Warner and carried <br /> <br />the applications of H. L. Sawin, 115~ N. Main Street and <br />Budts Smoke Shop, 416 N. Sycamore Street, to sell beer <br />when it becomes legal to do so, were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the application of MacFarlane Electric for per- <br />mission to hang an electric sign for the Pay n takit <br />Store Company at 502 W. 4th Street, was granted under <br />supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and <br />carried, the application of Mell Smith for permission to <br />conduct a commercial poultry yard at 1403 W. Eighth Stree <br />was granted on condition building is erected to comply <br />with Ordinance as recommended by the Sanitary Inspector. <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign an <br />agreement with J. William Sackman and Gertrude E. Sackman <br />his wife, covering the purchase of property on the west <br />side of Olive Street between Sixth and Eighth Streets for <br />the total amoUnt of $1§37.92, payments to be made as <br />followz: <br /> <br /> <br />
