Santa Aha Cit~ Hall. April 17th, 1933. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees None. ~ Minutes of meetings of April ~rd and 10th were approved as read. In Re~ Comm~muication Citizen's Unemployment Assn. In Re Health Report. In Re Applications to Sell Beer & Wine. In Re Electric Sign. In Re Poultry Yard Application. In Re Agreement with J. Wm. Sackman, etu~. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the communication from the Citizen's Unem ~ergency Committee, stating its desire to change the man- ner of conducting the work assigned to it and proposing to turn over to the Unmmployed Association the entire operation for unemployment relief in ~anta Aha, was accepted and the Council expressed its sincere apprecia- tion for the Ereat service rendered by the Committee. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and carried, the Health Report for the months of January, February and M~rch, 19~3, was referred to the Finance Committee · On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried the applications of H. L. Sawin, 115~ N. Main Street and Budts Smoke Shop, 416 N. Sycamore Street, to sell beer when it becomes legal to do so, were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the application of MacFarlane Electric for per- mission to hang an electric sign for the Pay n takit Store Company at 502 W. 4th Street, was granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and carried, the application of Mell Smith for permission to conduct a commercial poultry yard at 1403 W. Eighth Stree was granted on condition building is erected to comply with Ordinance as recommended by the Sanitary Inspector. 0n motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign an agreement with J. William Sackman and Gertrude E. Sackman his wife, covering the purchase of property on the west side of Olive Street between Sixth and Eighth Streets for the total amoUnt of $1§37.92, payments to be made as followz:
