Santa Aha City H~ll. Nay 1st, 1933. V:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Trustees Present:/A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees None. Minutes of meetings of April 17th and 24th were approved as read. In Re School Bldg. Tenth & Main Sts. In Re Plan of Offices in Bldg.-10th & Main. In Re Applications for S~le of Beer & Wine. In Re Monthly Reports. In He · Monthly Warrants. In Re Bid on City Hall Property. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the communication of S. I. Preble, Building Inspector, with reference to school building at Tenth and Main Streets was accepted and copy of communication ordered inserted in minutes. "Mr. Narver, Mr. Holmes and myself made a thorough inspection of the building at the corner of Tenth and Main Streets and found it structually safe. Frame work should be checked to see there is no dry decay or ter- mites and all loose plaster removed and replastered." 0~ motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to prepare a plan for the arrangement of city offices in the building at Tenth and Main Streets. Trustees LeGaye, Warner and HasenJaeger were appointed as the committee. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by LeGaye and carried the applications of C.R. Buraon, 306 Spurgeon Street and W.B. Blakeman, 403 W. 4th Street, to sell beer and wine when same becomes legal in Santa Ana, were received and filed. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the reports of City Officers for the month of April were referred to the Finance' Committee. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants according to demands audited by the Finance Committee. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the Council proceeded to oven bids for the sale of the City Hall property located at the southeast corner of Third and Main Streets as follows: "The undersigned, Board of Education of the City of Santa Ana, hereby bids the sum of $50,000.00 for the real property now being sold by the City of Santa Aha, which said property is described in the Resolution and notice of sale published by said City of Santa Ana, to which Resolution reference is hereby made.
