St · First: That all debris be removed from the property proposed to be purchased, including basement concrete, and that the lot be left at sidewal~ grade. Second: Said proposed purchase is further cc~ditioned upon the sale to the City of Santa Aha of the property belonging to said Santa Ana High School District described as follows: High School Tract recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book Page 13 of the Records of Orange County." On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the bid of the Board of Educa~ion was held in abeyance until May 5th, 1933, when Board of Education wil meet with the City Council. A petition was read signed by C.E. Walker, R.G. Tuthill, and R. C. Mtze requesting a set back of five feet on each side of Ross Street from First to Fifth Street. On of Trustee Warner, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, ~the petition was referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation. On motion of Trustee Wa~ner, seconded by LeGaye and car- ried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted and the petition of Property Owners for five foot set back line on Ross Street from First to Fifth Street, was granted. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the~ communication of the Planning Commission, urging cooperation in policing the Zoning Ordinance agains individuals commencing business operations of various in Residence Zones without change of zone, Special permis- sion or City License, was referred to the City Attorney and Police Department. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and carried, the Street Superintendent was authorized to spend the sum of $1SO.O0 for the purchase of trees, sD_rubs and water lines at the Municipal Bowl, to be used for landscaping. ,, On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Wa~ner and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign leases with the Santa Aha Mat Club for the exclusive right to hold wrestling matches in the Municipal Bowl on Wednesday evening of each week and with the Motor Sports Association for the exclusive right to hold motorcycle races in the Municipal Bowl on Saturday evening of each week, both leases stipulating the sum of $50.00 as a guarantee and ten per cent of the gross receipts of the performance, including the $50.00 guaranteed . thereunder, to be paid the City.
