Santa Ana City Hall. January 16th, 1933. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees E.G.. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees J.L. McBride. Minutes of meetings of January 3rd and 9th were approved as read. In Re Ordinance No. 31 Met. Water District. In Re Application Harry F. Allan. In Re Application Derlie ~i. Hunter. In Re Petition to Open Alley--Main & Sycamore Sts. In Re Application Alfred Schultz. In Re Radio Interference. In Re Communication Citizen's Unemployment Com. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried the communication of The Metropolitan Water District with Ordinance No. 31 attached, was accepted and the Clerk instructed to post the Ordinance. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried the application of Harry F. Allan for a permit to drive a taxicab for the Courtesy Cab Company as a relief, driver was referred to the Taxi Commission and un ~heir recom- mendation the application was granted. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the application of Derlie M. Hunter for permis- sion to conduct a beauty parlor in her home at 1018 W. Sixth Street, was referred to the Planning Commission. A petition was presented signed by the Santa Aha Tent and Awning Company, and others, requesting the opening of an alley between Main and Sycamore Street in the l§00 and 1600 block South Main Street. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried~ the petition for opening of alley was referred to the Street Department. ,, On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the application of Alfred Schultz for permission to ccnduct an auto repair shop at his residence, 702 E. Second Street, was granted on recommendation of the Plan- ning Commission and Fire Chief. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the request of Attorney 0.A. Jacobs for the amendment of the ordinance controlling radio interference was referred to the City Attorney. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the communication from the Citizen,s Unemployed Emergency Comittee relative to securing money from the
