]1 Santa Aha City Hall. June 26th, 1933. V:30 P.M. City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by Mayc~ Witmer. Prosent: Trustees A.F. LeOaye, E.G. Wanner, W.H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Wit~er. Absent: Trustees None. In Re Invitation to Newport Beach Tournament of Lights. In Re Memorandum A~reement S.A. Board df Education. In Re James League, Special Police. In Re Appointment of Austin R. Krause,Spec.Police. In Re Application E. Scott Waddle. In Re Applications to Sell Beer & Wine. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the invitation of the Newport Harbor Chamber of Oo~erce to the Newport-Balboa Tournament of Lights to be held July 22nd, was received and filed. . On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried, the communication and memorandum agreement fr-, the Santa ~ Board of Education granting the City Trustees the use of certain school buildings end equipment for snmmer play- ground activities, were referred to the City Attorney and the Purchasing Agent. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried, the Clerk was instructed to write a letter to James League special police, formerly working at the High School, requesting the return of his badge and his resignation. . On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by EasenJaeger and carried, Austin R. Erause was appointed a special police officer without pay at the High School as recommended by the Chief of Police. On motion of Trustee LeOaye, seconded by Penn and carried, the application of E. Scott Waddle requesting the transfe~ of the permit held by John H. Wilson for the Home Cab Company to himself, was referred to the Taxicab C~,issioz 0n motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- ried, the application of E. Scott Waddle for trLusfer of permit held by John H. Wilson for the Eome Cab Company, was approved. On motion of T~astee Warner, seconded byPenn and carried applications to sell beer and wine at places of business were received and filed as follows: Musselman & Brier F~ank Briggs John Weston Jacobs Pharmacy Oklahoma Market 516 French St. 502 N.
