Wit~er. <br /> <br /> Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Invitation to Newport <br /> <br />Beach Tournament of Lights. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Memorandum A~reement <br /> <br />S.A. Board df Education. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />James League, Special Police. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Appointment of <br /> <br />Austin R. Scott Waddle. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Applications to <br /> <br />Sell Beer & Wine. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br /> carried, the invitation of the Newport Harbor Chamber of <br /> Oo~erce to the Newport-Balboa Tournament of Lights to be <br /> held July 22nd, was received and filed. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried, <br />the communication and memorandum agreement fr-, the Santa <br />~ Board of Education granting the City Trustees the use <br />of certain school buildings end equipment for snmmer play- <br />ground activities, were referred to the City Attorney and <br />the Purchasing Agent. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the Clerk was instructed to write a letter to James League <br />special police, formerly working at the High School, <br />requesting the return of his badge and his resignation. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by EasenJaeger and <br />carried, Austin R. Erause was appointed a special police <br />officer without pay at the High School as recommended by <br />the Chief of Police. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee LeOaye, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application of E. Scott Waddle requesting the transfe~ <br />of the permit held by John H. Wilson for the Home Cab <br />Company to himself, was referred to the Taxicab C~,issioz <br />0n motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- <br />ried, the application of E. Scott Waddle for trLusfer of <br />permit held by John H. Wilson for the Eome Cab Company, <br />was approved. <br /> <br />On motion of T~astee Warner, seconded byPenn and carried <br />applications to sell beer and wine at places of business <br />were received and filed as follows: <br /> <br />Musselman & Brier <br />F~ank Briggs <br />John Weston <br />Jacobs Pharmacy <br />Oklahoma Market <br /> <br />516 French St. <br />502 N.
