No. 2365 <br /> <br />Hearing for Reduction <br /> <br />of Public Utilities Rates. <br /> <br /> Committee was appointed as the Committee. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee RasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and <br /> carried, the deed on property known as Lots 3 and 6 of the <br /> Main Street Tract as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3 <br /> Page 20 of Miscellaneous Mapsof Orange County, Californ%a, <br /> residue of the Charles G. Bowers Estate, was accepted and <br /> the Clerk instructed to have deed recorded. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Hasenjaeger and car <br />tied, the Plan as submitted by the Planning Con~nission of <br />a project to be financed by R. F. C. ~unds in the Unemploy <br />merit Relief Program to be supervised by the City Engineer <br />and the Planning Co~nission for the gathering of data <br />pertaining to Planning, was approved. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Penn and <br />carried, the application of Angel Reyez to sell legal on-s <br />beverages at 2026 W. Fifth Street, was granted with the <br />provision that license will be revocable if person or firm <br />does not comply with the Ordinance regulating such busines <br /> <br /> A resolution was introduced extending to J. S. Smart, <br /> <br /> W. D. Raney, Hugh Gerrard, Dr. George A. Warmer and Wm. H. <br /> Spurgeon a deep appreciation for the invaluable services <br /> rendered the City of Santa Aha by them as members of the <br /> CitiZens Unemployment Committee. The Clerk wao:~instructed <br /> to send copy of Resolution to each member ortho conunittee. <br /> The Resolution was ordered filed, read, considered, desig- <br /> nated Resolution No. 2364 and passed by the following vote <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, <br /> A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. <br /> <br /> Noe~, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> A Resolution was introduced resolving that the City Cou_u- <br /> cil petition the Railroad Commission of the State of <br /> California to call a hearing for the purpose of reducing <br /> the rates existing in the City of Santa Aha on the follow- <br /> ing public utilities, to-wit: Southern California Edison <br /> Company, Southern Counties bas Company and the Southern <br /> <br />California Telephone Company and that the proper officers <br />of the City Council be authorized to take the necessary <br /> <br />steps as requi~ed by law to have a hearing before the <br />Railroad Commission for the reduction of public utility <br />rates.
