O~ motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seceded by Penn and carried, the communication and Ordinance No. 39 of the Metropolitan Water Dis trict were received and the Clerk instructed to post Ordinance No, 39 on the bulletin board. A release ~contract signed by the~directors of the Ru~up Estate was read to the Council, which releases the City from any obligation for upkeep or maint- ~nce of a Pipe line thru the Rurup Estate on the WeSt Side of North Flower Street, and on motion of ~rustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried the City is to pay the agreed pri~e of $170.00 from the street ~hAnd in addition to accepting the releas ,, On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Hasenjaeger~ and carrie~ the Mayor and Clerk were authc~ized to sign agreement between the Register Publishing Comp publishers of the Santa Ara Daily Evening Register, and the City of Santa Ana, covering legal advertising until August 1, 1934. . On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by LeGaye and carried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign agreement between the City of Santa Ara and the Delhi Drain~e District, which easement covers, a period of five years from the dar of Said contract for the purpose of draining and emptying storm and overflow waters from the streets and areas within the boundaries of the City of Sant~ Ara into the drainage ditches of the Delhi Drainage District. An Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance closing all billiard parlors and pool halls operated in the City of Santa Ara, Orange County, California, between the hours of 12:30 A.M. and 6:30 A.M.!' was finally r~ad, considered, designated Or~ nance No. 983, and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent,Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G.Warner, W.H.Penn~ A.C.HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. None None.
