LeGaye, E.G. Warner, <br />W.H. Penn, A.C. Hasenjaeger, Paul B. Wit met. <br /> <br />· Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Applications to <br /> <br />Sell Legal Beverages. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />James Bennett. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />F. Skirvin. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Advertise for <br /> <br />Garbage Truck Chassis. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded by Penn and <br /> carried, the applications of Safeway Stores Inc., to <br /> sell legal beverages at 1303 W. 4th Street, 804 E. 4th <br /> Street, and 2323 N. Main Street, were granted with the <br /> provision that licenses will be revocable if the firm <br /> does not comply with the Ordinance regulating said busi- <br /> <br /> nes S. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, secc~ded by Hasenjaeger and <br /> carried, the application of James Bennett for a permit to <br /> operate a game of skill and science in Santa Ana, was <br /> referred to the Police Con~nissioner and Depar~nent for <br /> inves ti ga ti on. <br /> <br />.On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the application of F. Garcia to sell legal <br />beverages at 714 E. Fourth Street, was denied on recom- <br />mendation of the Health D~partment. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by LeGaye and carried <br /> the action of the Cotmcil on th~ application of Motor <br /> Fuels, Ltd. was rescinded and the Clerk was instructed to <br /> refund posting charge of $5.00 to the Motor Fuels, Ltd. <br /> <br /> on account of withdrawal of application.to install gas <br /> tanks and pumps at Southeast corner of 15th & Main Sts. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Hasen'~ae~er, seconded by Penn and <br /> carried, the Mayor and Clerk were instructed to sign an <br /> agreement with C. J. Skirvin covering the construction of <br /> an electric sign upon property situated on the northeast <br /> corner of First and Sycamore Streets, a portion of which <br /> sign extends over the five foot set-back line established <br /> along West First Street. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br /> carried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids <br /> on one late model minimum t. wo ton factory rating truck <br /> chassis for the Street Department, bids to be opened <br /> <br />October 2nd, 1933. <br /> <br /> <br />
