Picketing for the Job as <br />Poundmaster of the City and the matter of salary of the <br />Poundmaster, was referred to the Police Commissioner to <br />report back in one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried <br />the action of the City Council as of July 8th, 1929, was <br />rescinded denying the request of Geo. F. Spangler to con- <br />duct his business of blacksmithtng on Sycamore Street <br />betwoen Second and ~hird Streets and the Clerk was autho- <br />rized to ~oltect and is sue license. <br /> <br />An Ordinance entitled:. <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance repealing Paragraph 9, Section 5 of <br />Ordinance #658 and amendments thereto, and adding Para- <br />graph 9 of Section 5 of Ordinance #658 and amendments <br />thereto entitled, "An Ordinance providing for the <br />li cenming of business, show~ exhibitions and games, <br />conducted or carried on in the City of Santa Ana, fixing <br />the rate of license therefor, and providing for collect- <br />ion thereof." <br /> <br />was finally r~ad, considered, designated Ordinance No. <br />986 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Trustees A.F.
