French, Secretsry <br />of the Friendly Circle Class of the First Methodist Churcl <br />School, extending approval of the Council,s attitude on <br />tango games, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the cormnunications of Flake Smith, representing <br />the Spangler Estate, and of D. A. Casey offering to sell <br />property at the northeast corner of Second and Sycamore <br />Streets for City Hall site, were received and filed. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and <br />carried, the offer of Ray Goodcell to sell property at <br />the northwest corner of First and Broadway for the pur- <br />pose of a City Hall site, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the application of MacFarlane Electric to han~ <br />an electrical sign for C. A. Dutcher at 211 E. Fourth <br />Street, was granted under supervision of the Electrical <br />inspe ct or. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />A communication was read from the Orange County Humane <br />Society recommending Mr. W. H. Hamil as poundmaster of <br />the City of Santa Arm and opposing the suggestion that <br />the salary of the poundmaster be cut off entirely neces- <br />sitating the dependence on commissions obtsined through <br />dog licenses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and car- <br />ried, the application of W. H. Hamil for the position of <br />poundmaster, was taken under adv~s ement for one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded LeGaye and car- <br />ried, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare an <br />Ordinance for the registration of criminals as an emer- <br />gency measure similar to the Ordinance adopted by ~he <br /> <br />County of Orange. <br /> <br /> <br />
