Santa Ama City Hall. September 25th, 193S. 7:30 P.~. City Council met in regular adjourned session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Witmer. Present: Trustees A.F. LeGaye, E.G. Warner, W.H. Penn, A.C. HasenJaeger, Paul B. Witmer. Absent: Trustees None. In Re Communication Clara R. Prench. In Re Offer Site for City Hall. In Re Offer of Ray Goodcell. In Re Electric Sign. In Re Salary of Poundmaster. In Re Registration of Criminals. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the communication of Clara R. French, Secretsry of the Friendly Circle Class of the First Methodist Churcl School, extending approval of the Council,s attitude on tango games, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the cormnunications of Flake Smith, representing the Spangler Estate, and of D. A. Casey offering to sell property at the northeast corner of Second and Sycamore Streets for City Hall site, were received and filed. ,, On motion of Trustee HasenJaeger, seconded by Warner and carried, the offer of Ray Goodcell to sell property at the northwest corner of First and Broadway for the pur- pose of a City Hall site, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by HasenJaeger and carried, the application of MacFarlane Electric to han~ an electrical sign for C. A. Dutcher at 211 E. Fourth Street, was granted under supervision of the Electrical inspe ct or. ,, A communication was read from the Orange County Humane Society recommending Mr. W. H. Hamil as poundmaster of the City of Santa Arm and opposing the suggestion that the salary of the poundmaster be cut off entirely neces- sitating the dependence on commissions obtsined through dog licenses. On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and car- ried, the application of W. H. Hamil for the position of poundmaster, was taken under adv~s ement for one week. On motion of Trustee Hasenjaeger, seconded LeGaye and car- ried, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare an Ordinance for the registration of criminals as an emer- gency measure similar to the Ordinance adopted by ~he County of Orange.
