Hesser. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Permitting Blind <br /> <br />Persons to Carry <br /> <br />V~ite Canes. <br /> <br /> giving pass-out check at thei~ dance halls, was taken <br /> under adivsement for one week. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by HasenJaeger and <br />carried, the report of the Health Department for the <br />months of January, February and March, 1934, was referred <br />to the Finance Depar~nt. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- <br />ried, the Purchasing Agent was authorized to enter into <br />an agreement with the Stamdard 0il Company covering the <br />purchase of gasoline for the City, extending the present <br />contract to October 1st, 1934, in accordance with their <br />letter of April 9th, 1934. <br /> <br />0w motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />E. L. Vegely, City Clerk, was granted permission to leave <br />the State for one week. <br /> <br />Mr. Lewis F. Davis appeared before the Council requesting <br />the removal of she oak tree planted by the Forestry Board <br />in ~he boulevard in front of his home at 316 E. Edinger <br />Street, for the reason that the parking is too small for <br />that particular kind of tree. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Warner and carried, <br />the matter of delinquent city license of L. G. Hesser ~on- <br />ductinE a garage at 211 E. First Street, was referred to <br />the City Attorney. <br /> <br />An Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance prohibiting the use of white canes except <br />by pedestrians wholly or partially blind and providing <br />protection against highway accidents to such persons and <br />prowiding penalties for violation hereof." <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and referred back to the <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Warner, seconded by LeGaye and car- <br /> <br />ried, the City Council adjourned to Monday, April 2Srd, <br />1934, at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chamber. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br />Mayo~of~th~f~Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> <br />
