<br />Aha, to be moved within six months, was granted on recommen-
<br />dation of the Building Inspector.

<br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried,
<br />the Clerk was instructed to request the Santa Ana Realty
<br />Board to appraise the property located on North Flower Street
<br />between Fifth and Sixth Street, which is involved in the
<br />petition of property owners and residents for the opening
<br />of Flower Street.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Bruns and carried,
<br />the resignation of J. L. McBride, as a member of the Joint
<br />0utfall Sewer Board was accepted and Trustee Joseph P. Smith
<br />was appointed to fill the vacancy.
<br />
<br />Petitions were presented signed by Building and Electrical
<br />Contractors in the City of Santa Ana requesting the adoption
<br />of a Uniform Building and Electrical Code as prepared by the
<br />Pacific Coast Building Official Conference. On motion of
<br />Trustee Smith, seconded by Rowland and carried, the peti-
<br />tions and the Uniform Building and Electrical Codes were
<br />referred to a committee to report back in two weeks. The
<br />Building, Electrical and Plumbing Inspectors, City Attorney
<br />and Engineer were appointed as the committee.

<br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Rowland and carried,
<br />the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "An Ordinance prohibiting dance marathon, walkathon,
<br /> tree sitting, pole sitting, platform endurance and
<br /> other contests of similar character o~ nature"
<br />
<br />was introduced, read, considered, designated Ordinance No.
<br />1007 and passed by the following vote:

<br /> Ayes, Trustees Joseph P. Smith, Fred C. Rowland, W.H. Penn
<br /> Plummet W. Bruns, E.G. Warner.

<br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Rowland and carried,

<br />the following Ordinance entitled:

<br />"An Ordinance providing for holding a General Municipsl
<br />Election in the City of Santa Ana, California, on the
<br />8th day of April, 1938, for the election of city offi-
<br />cers in said City and voting upon the proposition of
<br />levying and collecting a tax not exceeding two cents
<br />on each One Hundred Dollars for Music purposes; giving
<br />notice of said election, designating the polling places,
<br />the hours during which the polls shall be opened, the
<br />officers to be elected, and appointing election offi-
<br />cers to serve at Said election~"
<br />
<br />was finally read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1008
<br />
<br />and passed by the following vote:
