Jackman, Pastor of the Church of <br />the Foursquare Gospel of Santa Aha, for permission to place <br />a sign on the northwest corner of Main and Fairview Avenue, <br /> <br />calling attention to their <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, <br /> <br />church, was granted. <br /> <br />seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> <br />the communication of the City of Orange expressing its <br />thanks for the valuable services rendered by Fire Chief John <br />Luxembourger, during the planning and erection of the Orange <br />City Fi~e Station, was received and a copy of communication <br />ordered to be furnished Chief Luxembourger. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Rowland, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the communication of Mrs. Ray Snyder, Secretary Santa Aha <br />Community Committee for Girl Scouts, thanking the Counc~il <br />for the use of a room in the Bowers Museum for troop meet- <br />ings, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On advice of the City Attorney and on motion of Trustee <br /> <br />Smith, <br />amount <br />damage <br /> <br />seconded by Rowland and carried, the check in the <br />of $125.00 from Ball and Honer in settlement of the <br />suit in the case of Harry H. Ball, etux, versus City <br /> <br />of Santa Ana, over four inches property owned by the City <br />at the southeast corner of Third and Main Streets~ was <br />~ccepted and the Clerk instructed to sign receipt covering <br />full payment on property involved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried <br />the application of Cope Elecric Company for peEnission to <br />hang an electric sign for E. G. Minneman at llS~ N. Main <br />Street, was granted under supervision of the Electrical <br />Inspector · <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the Resolution adopted by the Board of Supervisors of 0rang~ <br />County, was received and filed, appropriating $1310.00 from <br />the Motor Vehicle Fuel Fund for the repairing and improving <br />of Flower Street in the City of Santa Ana, said sum to be <br />paid to the City of Santa Ana upon the approval of the work <br />by the Superintendent of Highways of Orange County, Calif. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried <br />the application of Vincet M. Ballester for permission to <br />cut the curb to the extent of fifty feet west from his <br />store located at 18~0 W. First Stroet, was referred to the <br /> <br />City Engineer for investigation. <br /> <br /> <br />
