<br /> the application of Howard C. Leonard for permission to drive
<br /> a taxicab for C. W. Williams, was granted on recommendation

<br /> the application of Art S. Anderson for the privilege of usini

<br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried,
<br /> the monthly reports of city officers for March, were refer-
<br /> red to the Finance Committee.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Rowland and carried,
<br /> the Clerk was instructed ~to draw warrants according to the
<br /> demand~audited by the Finance Committee.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith end carried,
<br /> the application of the Forest Woodman Circle Society of
<br /> Spanish people of Orange County for permission to conduct
<br /> public dances semi-monthly at the Getty Hall, Fourth and
<br /> Porter Streets, was referred to Trustee Rowland and the
<br /> Chief of Police.

<br /> Mr. George A. Barrows appeared before the City' Council call-
<br /> ing attention to a dangerous traffic condition existing at
<br /> Second and Spurgeon Streets where spur track meets the
<br /> street level. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns
<br /> and carried, the matter of traffic condition was referred to
<br /> the City Engineer for investigation.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried,
<br /> the following Ordinance~ entitled:
<br />
<br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa An~ regulating the
<br />erection, construction, en~largement, alteration, repair,
<br />moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy, equip-
<br />ment, use, height, area, and maintenance of all buildings
<br />and/or structures in the City of Santa An~; providing for
<br />the issuance of permits and collection of fees' therefor;
<br />providing penalties for the violation thereof: repealing
<br />Ordinance No. 819 of the City of Santa Aha, and all other
<br />Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith"
<br />
<br />was finally read, considered, designated Ordinance No. lOlO
<br />and passed by the following vote:
