On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, application of MacFarlane Electric to hang an electric sign for Barnett's Bootery at 209 W. Fourth Street, was granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn, a Resolution was introduced accepting a deed f~om Evan Jones and Emilie Jones, husband and wife, covering a portion of Lot ll, in Block B, Tract No. 315, Owens Subdivision, The resolution was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2467 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, T~ustees Joseph P. Smith, Plummet W. Bruns, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Trustees None. Noes~ Absent, # Trustees None. On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw a warran$ in amount of in favor of the Orange County Title Company $3000.00/covering the purchase of property from Evan Jones and Emilie Jones, husband and wife, known as a portion of Lot ll, Block B, Tract No. 318, Owens Subdivision. # On motion of T~ustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the report of the committee was accepted and Map Tract No. 999 covering a subdivision for reversion to acreage,was approved and the Clerk was authorized to sign the Councilts approval to same. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the Clerk was instructed to write a letter of appreciation to Chief Coop of the Pasadena Fire Department for sending his crack rescue squad to Santa Aha, Friday, February 21st, to demonstrate rescue and first aid work. . On motion cf Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, permission was extended to the DeMolay Lodge to celebrate Founderts Day, March 20th, to occupy city offices on said day~ # On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns , the Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana regulating the use of Public Highways within said City" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for seco nd reading. # On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns,~he following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana providing for the imprisonment of City prisoners in the County Jail of Orange County"
