In Re Prisoner's Stockade APPROVED: rot of of Santa Ana. was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. # The City Attorney filed a written opinion concerning the operation and legality of Turf Club Betting Agenices estab- lished in the City of Santa Ana. . The City Attorney filed a written opinion concerning the possibility of excludi~ that portion of the City of Santa Ana in the Delhi District, as requested by Trustee Layton. . On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the following Minute Resolution was adopted: That this Council go on record as obligating this City to construct a suitable place for the care and custody of prisoners while working upon public works and ways provided the Board of Supervisors of this County order prisoners in the County Jail to work on such public works and ways, when recommended by the committing magistrate. # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the City ~ouncil adjourned. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, the communication from the City of Long Beach concerning the National Recreation Association, Western Division Institute Conference to be held in said City, April l, 2 and 3, 1936, was received and filed and any official interested in the conference to attend.
