Orange Road. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Regulating Business <br /> <br />Automobile Dealers. <br /> <br />· the appropriation with a letter of appreciation and thanks. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution approving Second Amendment to the Loan and <br /> Grant Agreement between the City of Santa Ana, Orange <br /> Couyty, California, and the United States of America, <br /> and authorizing its execution." <br /> <br /> was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2469 and <br /> passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Plummer W. Bruns, JoKeph P. Smith, <br /> W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the report of the Metropolitan Water District on the work <br /> activities for the month of February, 1936, was referred to <br /> the City Auditor. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the Clerk was instructed to send a letter of thanks to the <br /> Native Daughters of the Golden West for the Bear Flag pre- <br /> sented for the Council Chamber and also thank them for the <br /> hospitality extended the City Council. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to work with <br /> the Planning Commission with reference to rezoni~ North <br /> Broadway to Tenth Street for business. The Council as a <br /> whole were appointed as the committee. <br /> <br /> ~' motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> the application of the Security Benefit Association for a <br /> permit to conduct a public dance at Third and Ross Streets, <br /> was granted on recommendation of the Police Commissioner and <br /> Chief. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the City Engineer was instructed to install a street light <br /> on West Orange Road at the end of the street in accordance <br /> ~ith the petition of property owners. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seoonded by Penn and carried, <br /> the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance in relation to and regulating the business <br /> of dealing in motor vehicles and providing penalties for <br /> the violation hereof" <br /> <br /> was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br /> <br />second reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
