Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />April 20th, 1936. 7:30 <br /> <br />The City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the Clerk. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees Fred C. Harper. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Sign. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Police Report. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the communication of the Orange County League of Municipali- <br />ties relative to meeting in the Brea Womants Clubhouse, <br />located on South Pomona Avenue, Brea, at 6:30 P.M., Thursday <br />April 23rd, was received and filed and all officials-and <br />department heads were urged to attend. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> <br />Bulletin #9 of the League of California Municipalities was <br /> <br />received and Trustee Layton was designated to handle all <br />League matters and bulletin information. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the report of the Metropolitan Water District on the work <br />progress for the month of March, 1936, was referred to the <br />City Auditor. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the application of C. L. Hickson for permission to buy and <br />sell Junk and conduct a wrecking business in a building at <br />940 E. First Street, was referred to the Planning Commission <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of R. Harper for permission to move his pop- <br />corn wagon from the northwest corner of Fourth and Ross <br /> <br />Streets to 303 N. Broadway, <br /> <br />!! <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, <br /> <br />was granted. <br /> <br />seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> <br />the application of the Powell Neon Sign Company to hang an <br />electric sign for A. E. Blake at 310 E.
