D. Neweom, Secretary of the Santa Ama <br /> City Schools, to deputize Paul Prentice as night watchman fo~ <br /> the High School grounds, was granted on recommendation of t~ <br /> Police Commissioner and Chief. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the <br /> application of the Electrical Products ~orporation by MacFar- <br /> lane Electric to install and hang a marquee and an electric <br /> sign for Walker's Theatre at 220 Bush Street, was granted <br /> under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded ~ Bruns and carried, <br /> the applications of Electrical Contractors to hang electric <br /> signs at the following places of business, were granted when <br /> approved by the Electrical Inspector and to be hung under <br /> his supervision: <br /> <br /> Coast Ice Cream Co. Ltd. ll0§ N. Main St. <br /> Washington Market 1303 N. Main St. <br /> Southern Cal. Edison Co.Ltd. 208 N. Main St. <br /> Payn Takit ~25 502 W. 4th St. <br /> Mission Bootery 212 W. %th St. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> A protest was read signed by sixteen residents and property <br /> owr~rs in the vicinity of 1319 N. Broadway against the grant- <br /> ing of a special use to Dr. John McAuley to conduct his offic <br /> at said address. On motion of Trustee Bruns, secondedby <br /> Layton and carried, the application of Dr. John McAuley to <br /> conduct his office at 1319 N. Broadway was referred back to <br /> the Planning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, secom~ed by Bruns and carried, <br /> the resignation of W. B. Martin as a member of the Planning <br /> Commission, was accepted with regrets and the Clerk was <br /> instructed to write a letter of appreciation for his services <br /> for the past year. <br /> <br />~e reCommendationof the Mayor for the appointment of W. F. <br />Sroddy to serve on the Planning Commission for three years <br />.beginning July 1st, 1936, was confirmed on motion of Trustee <br />Smith,.seconded by Bruns and carried. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the claim of Marie B. Tedrow of 828 N. Van Ness Avenue for <br /> damages in amount of $837.7§ for alleged injuries received <br /> <br /> <br />
