Eckles of the Santa Ana Bus Service to with- <br /> <br /> draw the North Ross Street bus route and start a new bus <br /> and place benches for bus patrons <br /> route in the east part of Santa Aha/ was referred to the <br /> <br /> Taxicab Commission for investigation and report back. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the applications of the Deco Advertising Company to install <br /> electric signs on private property of Frank D. ThQmas, 409 S <br /> Main Street and of Brown & Wagner, 116 W. 17th Street, were <br /> referred to the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the applications of the powell Neon Sign Company for permits <br /> to hang electric signs for the Eureka Paint and Glass Company <br /> 209 N. Main Street and for Schilling's at ll2 E. Fourth <br /> Street, were granted if and when approved by the Electrical <br /> Inspector and to be hung under his supervision. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the petition of property owners on West First Street to have <br />said street rezoned to business from Ross Street to Patton <br />Street, was referred to a committee to investigate and report <br />back. Trustees Layton, Bruns and Penn were appointed as the <br />committee. <br /> <br />Petitions protesting against and favoring the granting of a <br />special use to Dr. John McAuleY to establish a doctor's offi, <br />at 1319 N. Broadway, were presented. 0n motion of T~ustee <br />Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the recommendation of <br />the Planning Commission was ~gcepted and the application of <br />Dr. John McAuley to conduct his doctor's office aS 1319 N. <br />Broadway, was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the communication of Geo. E.
