Carlisle, Walter G. Bozeman, Ernie E. <br />Acker and Henry L. Hunton were granted permission to drive <br />taxicabs. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Police Chief and Commissioner and <br />on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />Cornish J. Roehm was appointed a special police officer for <br />school crossings and S. D. Byrd was appointed a special <br />police officer without pay. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the Mayor and Auditor ae Sponsor's Agent and Fiscal Officer <br />were authorized to execute W. P. A. Project on Santiago Creel <br />Park Improvement. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the Mayor and Auditor as Sponsor's A~ent and Fiscal Officer, <br />were authorized to execute W. P. A. Project on concrete curbs <br />concrete gutters and sidewalks in the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the Resolutions pertaining to Traffic regulations were <br /> referred to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> . <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance amending Section 7 of Ordinance No. 962 <br /> entitled ' An Ordinance regulating and licensing the <br /> business of earrying passengers for hire in motor <br /> vehicles in the City of Santa Ana. '" <br /> <br /> was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1033 and <br /> passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Plummer W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. <br /> Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the report of the City Auditor giving a comparative schedule <br /> <br />and break-down of the <br />1935-36 tax rate, was <br /> <br />1936-37 tax rate as compared with the <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the report of Trustee Smith as chairman of the committee <br />appointed, relative to installation charge~ of main and fire <br />hydrants in Tract #1000 and monies deposited with the 0rang~ <br />County Title Company by the subdividers, was accepted. <br /> <br /> <br />
