Crawford to erect a bungalow <br /> court. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the application of R. L. Peterson for a permit to conduct an <br /> automobile and auto trailer business on property described <br /> as Lots 5, 7 and 9, Block A, Tract #245 on South Main Street, <br /> was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of <br />Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the property <br />described as Lots 5, 7 and 9, Block A, Tract #245, was ordere <br />posted for special uses and the hearing date set October <br /> <br /> 1936 in accordance with the application of R. L. Peterson. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the communication of F. A. Henderson, Supt. of Santa Ana Cit~ <br />Schools, suggesting that a slow sign be placed either in the <br />street or at the curb both at Ross and Dur~nt Street on Seven. <br />teenth Street at the Jefferson School, was referred to the <br />Street Department with power to act. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the <br />application of the Orange County Republican Central Committee <br />for permission to use Birch Park October 8th at 7:30 P.M. for <br />a Republican rally, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee LaYton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the application of Harry Blank for permission to hold an <br />auction on Tuesday, October 20th and 21st, 1936, to dispose <br />of plant, equipment and canned goods of Taylor's Inc. at <br /> <br />1644 E. Fourth Street, was referred to the Police Commissione~ <br />and Chief with power to act. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> of deed <br />the communication of J.C. Metzgar requesting relinquishment/ <br /> <br />acquired by the City for street purposes to the parcel of <br />described as the easterly 12 feet of Lots 2, 3, 4, ? and 8, <br /> <br />Tract 923, was referred to <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, <br /> <br />the City Attorney. <br /> <br />seconded by Bruns and carried, the <br /> <br />request of Leland Auer, together with the request of business <br />men and taxpayers, that a portion of the advertising fund be <br />used for the Santa Ana Municipal Band to take part in parades <br />civic enterprises, etc. and to engage Leland Auer as Director. <br /> <br /> <br />
