I. Preble as Building Inspector of the <br /> City of Santa Ana, was accepted with regrets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns amd carried, <br />the petition of the Veterans' Welfare Board for the cancella- <br />tion of certain taxes assessed to Robert O. Smith and Ruth M. <br />Smith, Floyd B. Rogers and Cristine S. Rogers, J. R. <br />and Lucille P. Sandstrom, Maria Liebermann and Caroline B. <br />Stevenson, was granted and the Clerk instructed to advise <br />the County Auditor of the Council's action. <br /> <br />On mStion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carrried, <br />the applications of Electrical Contractors for permits to <br />hang electric signs, were granted subject to the approval of <br />the Electrical Inspector and to be hung under his supervision <br />at the following locations: <br /> <br /> Institute of Music and Art 420 W. 4th Street <br /> Chas. Webber 116 E. ~th Street <br /> Dr. Loman C. Adams 108 E. 8th Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layt0n, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to enter into an agree- <br />ment with the Santa Fe Railway Company covering fire alarm <br />circuits of the City of Santa Ana located on the poles cf <br />the Postal ~elegraph-Cable ComPany on P~llway~Company,s right <br />of way. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried~ <br />the Resolution authorizing Deed in the matter of the r <br />of J. C. Metzgar and Belle H. Metzgar to reconvey certain <br />land formerly deeded to the City for street purposes, des- <br />cribed as follows: <br /> <br /> "The Easterly 12 feet of Lots 2, 3, 4, 7, and @ of Tract No. <br />925, as per map thereof recorded in Book 29, at page 14, of <br />Miscellaneous M~ps, Records of said 0range County" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2505 and <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Plummet W.
