Beltz and Homer E. Hunt for permits to drive taxi- <br />cabs, were granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the application of the Santa Ana Neon Company for a permit <br />to hang an electric sign for P. B. Lee at 2&39 S. Main Street <br />was granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />A petition signed by ten property o~ners <br />read requesting relief from flood waters <br /> <br />was presented and <br />near Santa Ana Bo~le <br /> <br />yard by the construction of drains and certain conduits under <br />said Boulevard. On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith <br />and carried, the petition was referred to the Street Commis- <br />sioner and City Engineer to investigate and report back. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Upon report of the committee appointed to investigate, it <br />was moved by Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />that the application of Bartelson and Wilson to conduct <br /> <br /> as automobile dealers at 310 E. FifthStreet, <br /> <br />the business <br />be gr~nted. <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of <br /> <br /> Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of the ?th Day Adventist Church to erect thei~ <br />tabernacle, now located in Fullerton, to carry on religious <br />revival meetings, on vacant lots either on South Broadway <br />Just north of Fairview Avenue or at the corner of Sycamore <br />and Wilshire Streets, was referred to the Fire Commissioner, <br />Fire Chief, Building, Electrical and Plumbing Inspectors for <br />InvestiEation. <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 809 and <br /> changing the Zone upon that certain real property fronting <br /> on Broadway between Fifteenth Street and Twentieth Street <br /> from 'Single Family Residence Zone to Apartment House Zone' <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br />second reading. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1036 entitled 'An <br /> Ordinance of the City of Santa Ama regulating the erect- <br /> ion, construction, repair, enlargement, alteration, <br /> removal, demolition and occupancy of all buildings and <br /> structures in said City and providing for the issuance <br /> of permits and collection of fees therefor, and repeal- <br /> Ordinance No. 1010 of said City '" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br /> <br />second reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
